KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Protein Scientist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Support a range of drug discovery projects through the production, purification, and characterisation of recombinant proteins.
- Design, develop, and optimise protein expression and purification strategies to deliver high-quality protein samples for downstream applications.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams, external scientific partners, and service providers to achieve project objectives.
- Apply a range of protein science techniques to support biological, biophysical, and structural studies across multiple research programmes.
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Protein Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
- Relevant degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Protein Science, or a related scientific discipline.
- Proven experience in recombinant protein expression and purification gained within an academic or industrial setting.
- A working knowledge and practical experience with chromatographic purification methods and protein characterisation techniques.
