

ROLE OVERVIEW

A leading company in the biotechnology industry based in the Oxford area is seeking a Laboratory Technician (Cell Biology Support) to join their team. Initially a 1 year FTC, there is strong potential for this to become a longer-term role.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Laboratory Technician (Cell Biology Support) will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Support routine laboratory activities, including assisting with mycoplasma testing.
2. Change and monitor CO2 gas cylinders for laboratory equipment.
3. Check, maintain and replenish laboratory stock and consumables.
4. Manage laboratory waste disposal in line with health and safety procedures.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Laboratory Technician (Cell Biology Support) we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Proven experience working within a laboratory environment (industry or academic).
2. Understanding of laboratory health and safety procedures.
