

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in the Hertfordshire area. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to become a key part of the Engineering Department, supporting the maintenance, calibration, and continual improvement of manufacturing and utility equipment. The role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment where compliance, safety, and innovation are at the forefront.
This position is initially offered as a 6-month contract with the potential for extension, providing a great platform for professionals looking to advance their careers within the life sciences sector.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES
Your duties as the Maintenance Engineer will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- As the Maintenance Engineer, you will undertake maintenance, calibration, repair, and continual development of production and utility equipment, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines and practices.
- As the Maintenance Engineer, you will provide technical support and effective problem-solving to the manufacturing team, ensuring minimal disruption to production activities.
- As the Maintenance Engineer, you will maintain and utilise regulatory and non-regulatory documentation, ensuring all activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- As the Maintenance Engineer you will drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and procedures through innovation, teamwork, and adherence to safe working practices.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Maintenance Engineer, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
- A Degree or higher level in an engineering discipline or a formal qualification in at least one other engineering discipline.
- Proven industry experience in performing engineering and maintenance activities to a high standard on pharmaceutical utilities and associated equipment.
- A working knowledge and practical experience with GMP standards, Computerised Maintenance Management Systems, and the ability to work under pressure in complex conditions.
