Digital Pharmacology Scientist

We are recruiting a Digital Pharmacology Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. As the Digital Pharmacology Scientist, you will be responsible for supporting the expansion of digital capabilities within an In Vitro Pharmacology department.

This is an initial 12 month contract but will likely offer extension.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Digital Pharmacology Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Digital Pharmacology Scientist, you will support the progress of IVP towards their digital ambitions by building, rolling out, and maintaining new digital tools.

2. As the Digital Pharmacology Scientist, you will assisting peers with complex and large-scale data analysis, and improving existing tools within the department.

3. As the Digital Pharmacology Scientist, you will presenting key findings or novel tools at internal meetings, and interpreting findings clearly for the wider team.

4. As the Digital Pharmacology Scientist, you will be performing lab-based tasks including routine screening assays, tissue culture, and using platforms such as flow cytometry and high content imaging.


ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Digital Pharmacology Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a scientific discipline.

2. Proven industry experience in bioinformatics, including large-scale bioscience data analysis and digital tool generation.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with at least one programming language (e.g. Python, R, MatLab).
