

We are currently looking for an R&D Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company in the Berkshire area on an initial 12 month contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to contribute to cutting-edge bioprocess development and cell culture operations, working within a dynamic and innovative team environment and work as an Ambr250 Operator.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties as the R&D Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- As the R&D Scientist you will support bioprocess activities by preparing buffers, media, and conducting cell culture experiments, including CHO cells in various vessels up to 5 liters and act as a Ambr250 Operator.
- As the R&D Scientist you will record experimental data accurately in electronic notebooks and ensure proper documentation adhering to GMP and Data Integrity principles.
- As the R&D Scientist you will perform routine housekeeping and maintain cleanliness standards of the workspace to ensure a safe and compliant environment.
- As the R&D Scientist you will assist in developing and executing non-standard assay procedures and project-specific experiments.
- As the Ambr250 Operator you will monitor cell culture parameters daily, including viability, growth, and metabolite profiles.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the R&D Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
- A Degree or higher level in field (e.g., Life Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology)
- Proven experience or demonstrating a keen interest in laboratory bioprocessing, cell culture, and assay development. Ideally you have worked as an Ambr250 Operator
