Research Scientist

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for a talented Scientist to join a leading biopharmaceutical company based in the UK to support the development of innovative biologics. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented researcher to contribute to cutting-edge antibody discovery and engineering projects within a vibrant research environment. The role offers the chance to be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on advancing new therapeutic candidates, primarily through the creation and analysis of bispecific antibodies and other biologics.

Based at our client’s world-class research centre, you will work within the Antibody and Novel Therapeutics department, playing a key role in the progression of drug candidates from early discovery through to candidate selection. This position is ideal for someone passionate about protein engineering and immunotherapies, eager to make a meaningful impact in the pharmaceutical industry.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
   • Support the design, development, and delivery of bispecific antibody molecules to advance therapeutic projects.
   • Analyze, interpret, and document experimental data to enable informed decision-making.
   • Communicate findings effectively through presentations and written reports to project teams and leadership.
   • Collaborate across departments to enhance research outcomes and innovate with emerging technologies.
   • As the Scientist you will contribute to the generation of high-quality biologics and provide analytical insights supporting drug discovery progression.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
   • A Degree or higher level in biochemistry, biological sciences, or a relevant discipline.
   • Proven experience in recombinant protein production from mammalian cells and related analytical techniques.
   • Extensive knowledge of antibody structures, functions, and therapeutic modalities, including immune cell-engaging bispecifics.
   • Familiarity with cell-based assays (e.g., flow cytometry, cell signaling, binding) is desirable.
   • You will demonstrate a strong work ethic, collaborative spirit, and the ability to multitask effectively in a research setting.
