Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Principle Scientist - DMPK to join a leading drug discovery company based in the Nottinghamshire area. As the Principle Scientist - DMPK you will be responsible for leading a team of scientist as the subject matter expert, carrying out DMPK studies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Principle Scientist - DMPK will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Principle Scientist, you will be responsible for leading a team of scientists as the subject matter expert, carrying out the DMPK studies.

2. You will collaborate with other internal teams within the organisation such as Chemistry, Bioscience, Computational Chemistry and in-vivo colleagues as the representative for DMPK projects.

3. As the Principle Scientist, you will lead the troubleshooting of issues and they arise. You will aslo be responisble and accountable for assay validations, automation and assessment of new methodologies and technologies.

4. You will actively be involved in the recruitment and retention of talent to maintain a high-performing team. As the Principle Scientist you will also offer support to the business development activities.




Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Principle Scientist - DMPK we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry or Biochemistry (or a related discipline)

2. Extensive industry experience in discovery DMPK and team management.

3. Thorough knowledge of absorption, distribution, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics and a working knowledge of the drug discovery process.
