Role Overview

Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with experience within the life sciences industry looking for your next move within the sector?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a global life sciences company. With their headquarters in Northern Ireland, your role will span EMEA, predominantly covering Europe. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for sales and market development of diagnostic services across the pharma and biotech sectors.

Key Duties and Responsibilities


The role of Business Development Manager will offer a high level of autonomy, and you will play a critical role in promoting and selling biomarker services through account management of existing clients as well as prospecting new clients.

The role covers EMEA and you will be spending approximately 40-50% of your time travelling to visit clients or attending conferences.

You will manage the diagnostic services portfolio, including preparation and facilitation of sales meetings with SMEs and executive level client representatives.

Responsibility for marketing strategy - discern and report market trends in order to formulate strategy.

Role Requirements


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Business Development Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a life sciences based discipline. In addition, you will have experience of some or all of the following: genomics, genetics, biomarkers, diagnostics, assay development, personalised medicine, companion diagnostics, next generation sequencing

2. Proven business development experience within the life sciences sector - this will have been gained within a service driven portfolio.

3. You will have experience of C-Suite level interactions.
