Lab Security Expert

We are currently looking for a Lab Security Expert to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. As the Lab Security Expert you will work closely with cross-functional IT and scientific teams for safeguarding our laboratory environments and securing early development projects globally.

This is an initial contract until the end of the year with likely extension into 2025.

Your duties as the Lab Security Expert will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Lab Security Expert, you will be managing and assessing cyber security requirements on system, instrument, architecture and application level of the early research and laboratory scope in project mode.

2. As the Lab Security Expert, you will be identifying and managing cyber security risks that could adversely affect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of experiment and laboratory control activities (QC, IPC, etc.)

3. As the Lab Security Expert, you will be working with IT stakeholders to create processes for the continuous management of cybersecurity in early research operational environments.

4. As the Lab Security Expert, you will be continuously broadening your technical skills following technology trends within the research and development areas (e.g., virtual reality, high power computing etc.) and industrial cyber security.

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Lab Security Expert we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant Certifications such as GRID, CCSK, OSCP, IEC62443, A+, GPEN

2. Bachelors degree with a Computer Science background or Engineering (preferably automation) degree.

3. 4+ years work experience from both IT and Scientific IT disciplines in a Laboratory / cyber security context.
