Senior Scientist

We are currently looking for a Senior Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. As the Senior Scientist you will be responsible for expressing and purifying high-quality recombinant protein reagents to support antibody drug discovery platforms.

This is an initial 12 month contract with potential for extension.

Your duties as the Senior Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Senior Scientist, you will be experienced in Recombinant Protein Purification including techniques such as AKTA, affinity, ion exchange and size exclusion chromatography.

2. As the Senior Scientist, you will experienced in Molecular Biology techniques - DNA manipulation and software used in manipulating protein and DNA sequences

3. As the Senior Scientist, you will be fully competent in protein characterisation techniques: SDS-PAGE, Western blot, analytical SEC, UV-Vis spectroscopy and UPLC.

4. As the Senior Scientist, you will be inquisitive and innovative with a passion for delivering new medicines for patients.

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant PhD in a Protein Biochemistry or related discipline

2. Proven industry experience in Recombinant Protein Purification

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Recombinant Protein Purification.
