Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Biomarker Transcriptomics Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. As the Biomarker Transcriptomics Scientist you will be responsible for planning and technical oversight of Biomarker Transcriptomics activities outsourced to CROs.

This is an initial 12 month contract due to exciting growth in the team and with likely extension. The role can offer 1-2 days per week remote working.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Biomarker Transcriptomics Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Biomarker Transcriptomics Scientist you will work independently alongside biomarker specialists in the Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry, Ligand Binding and LC-MS fields. Biomarker Transcriptomics expertise specifically is what we are looking for.

2. As the Biomarker Transcriptomics Scientist you will be responsible for planning and technical oversight of Biomarker Transcriptomics activities outsourced to CROs.

3. As the Biomarker Transcriptomics Scientist you will use your theoretical understanding of the principals of molecular biology and transcriptomics, in particular RNA sequencing and RT-qPCR.

4. As the Biomarker Transcriptomics Scientist you will support clinical transcriptomics outsourced activities as an SME from a planning and technical perspectives.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Biomarker Transcriptomics Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Pharmaceutical, Biologics or similar discipline.

2. Proven industry experience in Biomarker Transcriptomics, this is essential.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with RNA sequencing and RT-qPCR type approaches.
