Senior Data Scientist

We are currently looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. As the Senior Data Scientist you will be responsible for implementation of data science-based solutions to relevant problems for therapeutic antibody discovery and engineering.

This role is an initial 12 month contract, and can offer 3 days p/w of remote working.

Your duties as the Senior Data Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for adapting and implementing open source and academic software from github repositories, working with Python, R and RUST (Python experience is essential).

2. As the Senior Data Scientist, you will develop innovative informatics or data science techniques, communicating scientific results both inside and outside project teams.

3. As the Senior Data Scientist, you will be experienced in analysis of large / high dimensional datasets including data manipulation / wrangling, as well as Machine Learning and AI framework.

4. As the Senior Data Scientist, you will actively collaborate with relevant stakeholders such as IT, experimental scientists, and other data science teams.

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Data Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Data Science or Computer Science related discipline.

2. Proven industry experience working as a Data Scientist within a Pharmaceutical/vendor environment would be ideal (PhD graduates are welcome to apply as well).

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Biological Sciences such as Antibodies would be a significant advantage.
