Senior Scientist

We are currently looking for a Senior Scientist to join a leading Biopharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. As the Senior Scientist you will specialise in HDX-MS and join a Mass Spectrometry team within a Protein Structure Group.

Your duties as the Senior Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will be helping the Mass Spectrometry Team to provide critical project support from initial adoption into the portfolio through to candidate selection of NBE and NCE therapeutics generated from discovery platforms.

2. As the Senior Scientist you will be helping to support the structural and mechanistic understanding of target and therapeutic molecule interactions driven by the department.

3. You will be utilising Mass Spectrometry, Cryo-EM, X-ray Crystallography, SAXS, NMR and other biophysical techniques.

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. PhD or BSc with 5+ years of relevant laboratory based experience in design, execution and analysis of HDX-MS experiments for antibody/protein/ ligand interactions.

2. Experience with Waters data processing software packages (PLGS) and DynamX.

3. Experience with HDX-MS experiments using NBE and NCE molecules.

4. HDX-MS analysis of membrane proteins would be desirable.
